Hubble Space Telescope – The Shutterbug of the Space

未分類

The Hubble Space Telescope is a large telescope, which studied about 40,000 cosmic objects from the time when it was launched from the Earth in April 24, 1990.

Hubble observes the most distant stars and galaxies as well as the planets in our solar system, and has taken some photographs that innovated scientists’ understanding about the Space.

In this article, I am going to show you some Iconic & Beautiful photos that Hubble took while his journey.

The Mystic Mountain

This image captured by the NASA Hubble Space Telescope records an activity in a three-light-year-tall pillar of gas and dust that is being eaten away by the brilliant light from nearby bright stars.

Crab Nebula

The Crab Nebula is an iconic supernova remnant (Nebula left behind after a Supernova, which is a big explosion) in our Milky Way galaxy.

This supernova explosion itself was observed by the Chinese astronomers in the year 1054.

The Antennae Galaxies

The two spiral galaxies who collapsed in this picture was the youngest and the nearest galaxies colliding from the Earth.

Nearly half of the faint objects in the Antennae are young clusters containing tens of thousands of stars.

A Rose In Space

In this picture, two galaxies are interacting to each other which makes it look like a rose.

It is thought that the smaller galaxy passed through the larger one.

Eta Carinae

The Eta Carinae could be the next supernova that happens in the milky way.

These two huge stars are orbiting near each other, which may cause the supernova explosion.
